Happy Labor Day Weekend!
We at the Foundation for Sustainable Care want to wish you and your families a safe and fun Labor Day Weekend! While most of us will enjoy a long break with family and friends this, many of our Care Center friends will try to break even. With the record high cost of living for groceries, gas, and goods, the unemployed and under-employed are especially at risk. Certainly, we hope you enjoy some time off, but wanted to showcase how your support holds together households in our neighborhood.
One of our Care Center friends recently emigrated from war-torn Ukraine. Back home, he was a successful businessman, but now, he has to make ends meet with part-time jobs on a minimum wage. Your partnership in serving and giving is helping bridge the gap and bring hope to this man as he is laboring to do his part.
Let us give thanks for the blessings of work and labor this weekend, and also remember to pray for our neighbors who are in need of gainful employment and stability. Thank you for helping to resource the Grace Care Center and to bring hope to our neighbors. Just think, you may be the answer to their prayers!
