Held every other month in partnership with Christian Brothers Automotive, Car Care Saturdays provide families participating in Grace Care Center’s Co-op with free oil changes, multipoint safety inspections, and other essential vehicle services.

And this past Saturday, I had the pleasure of volunteering at my first Car Care Saturday! 

The Grace Care Center Foundation is hosting a brand-new – and completely unique – culinary fundraiser for Grace Care Center. And you’re invited!

We hope you’ll join us for Pantry & Plate, a brand-new event coming to Carmel, IN on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The evening is sure to be filled with delicious food, great connections, and inspirational stories, all in support of Central Indiana families.

On Thursday, September 17, 2026, more than 100 changemakers gathered at Boiler Ranch in Westfield for An Evening with Grace Care Center, an intimate event centered around the Grace Care Center mission.

Guests included community leaders and supporters who care about building practical solutions to hunger and poverty in Central Indiana. Every one of them is truly dedicated to breaking barriers and helping families build stability and independence.

The highlight of the evening was hearing from our featured speaker. Former Indiana Governor and Interim Purdue University President Mitch Daniels led a meaningful conversation about leadership, innovation, and creating lasting change. Every guest also received a copy of Daniels’ new book, Impatience is a Virtue.

At heart, Heather is a kind, compassionate, and generous person. She has served in vocational ministry since 1985, and has dedicated her life to seizing opportunities that God provides.

Today, Heather shares her gifts by investing her time with Grace Care Center, while also pouring into students and young people through other local ministry opportunities.

Heather is also dedicated to financially supporting causes she cares deeply about – including the Grace Care Center Foundation. A few years ago, she joined the Care Center Collective, and has been a consistent monthly donor ever since.

We have some big news! Grace Care Center has been awarded a $125,000 Strategic Grant from the Hamilton County Community Foundation. This investment will support something incredibly important: expanding and enhancing our programs so that the Care Center is always ready for the next family…and the next…and the next.

Every child should be able to head back to school with all of the tools they need for a great year. Not only that, but they should have the exciting chance to choose their own school supplies!

That’s why Grace Care Center hosts an annual Care Center Community Fair to provide Central Indiana students with backpacks, supplies, and so much more.

One of our key programs at Grace Care Center is our English classes. We often speak about how learning English empowers participants to break barriers. But what exactly do we mean by that? In this blog, we share how having access to affordable English classes makes a difference for our neighbors here in Central Indiana.

In Central Indiana, many older adults are navigating a season of life that does not always feel secure.

Fixed incomes stretch further than they used to. Transportation becomes less reliable when a car breaks down. Health needs increase while support systems shrink. And, for many seniors, isolation quietly becomes one of the hardest challenges of all.

On September 2, 2026, thought leaders, stakeholders, and organizations from across Indiana will come together for the Indiana Hunger Summit.

Eliminating barriers for families is at the heart of what Grace Care Center and the Grace Foundation do. We strive to offer support in several ways so that Central Indiana families can get the help they need now to create stability for the future.

Each July, the Grace Care Center hosts a Community Fair to help prepare Central Indiana families to head back to school. This Fair provides area children with backpacks, school supplies, and more, so that they can be ready to learn on their first day. The event is filled with fun and celebration, with free haircuts, free lunch, and more. In 2025, we welcomed 2,830 attendees!

Our community partners at Northview Church recently hosted a diaper drive for Grace Care Center. Over the course of a few weeks, Northview Westfield and Northview Noblesville competed to see which campus could collect the most diapers and baby wipes for Central Indiana families.

Grace Care Center is successful when every staff member and volunteer knows what we are working toward, together. That’s why we’ve focused on ensuring that every member of our team has a shared understanding of who we are and who we are committed to becoming. 

Care Center Friends Luz and Anthony have always had big dreams. They hoped to own their own home, go back to school, and create a secure and fulfilling life for their three children.
